If you are staying with us at The Estate as a part of your family holiday, you will be happy to know that the city of Delhi and its outskirts has a lot of fun activities to offer for your children. Whether you wish to entertain them with bedazzling live performances or learn a thing or two about India and its rich history, there are a host of fun activities to choose from.

The Kingdom of Dreams

A highly recommended extravaganza, make a trip to Gurgaon to enjoy this hi-tech entertainment destination makes for an excellent family destination. A true manifestation of the carnival that is India, the Kingdom of Dreams is a psychedelic mix of exquisite performances, elaborate sets and a whole lot of fun. It also offers an air conditioned Culture Gully with restaurants from various states of India serving their authentic cuisine.

Dili Haat & Dastakar

In addition to being one of the best markets for crafts by Indian artisans in the city, these places offer a psychedelic atmosphere that children enjoy. Introduce your children to various forms of handicrafts from all over the country and taste some of the best foods from various regions of India. Regular folk and cultural performances are the highlight of a trip here as are periodic exhibitions.

Garden of Five Senses

Located close to The Estate at Said-Ul-Ajab, The garden of five senses can be a great getaway for families with children ,from the hustle bustle of the city. Its a place to enjoy nature amongst magnificent sculptures water cascades and well lit fountains.

Exploring the Museums

The city offers a variety of museums for kids with all kinds of interests –

  • The National Science Centre proves to be a haven for your dinosaur obsessed kids. With exquisite exhibits and a chance to look at some ancient fossils and other discoveries, this is bound to be a memorable trip for your children.
  • The National Rail Museum is known to appeal to kids and adults alike. Spread over 10 acres of land, this museum offers an excellent insight into the rail heritage of India. Look at static as well as working models, antique furniture and a variety of historical photographs that enchant your children. The toy train here is a favorite among people of all ages.

Whether or not we relate to it, children between the ages of 5 and 10 simply love cracking potty jokes. Fortunately for them, there is an entire Sulabh International Museum of Toilets dedicated to just this. This museum is home to a variety of artifacts highlighting sanitation right from the Indus Valley Civilization to how the Greeks did their business.

  • Take your children to a journey through the fascinating world of outer space by heading to the Nehru Planetarium. A great way to develop interest in science, this building is home to some fascinating relics and attractions.

DLF Promenade KiddyLand

This fascinating attraction is an excellent place to visit during the weekends. With a variety of kid friendly workshops and activities always on the calendar, children that love painting, craftwork and some fun rides, love it here.

Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj

Located only 10 minutes away from The Estate, this mall is home to Fun City that offers a variety of options for wholesome family entertainment along with quick food joints as well as fine dining options. With some exciting Amusement machines, kiddie rides, simulators, skill based machines, a bumper car section, an interactive science museum and a host of family and big rides, visiting here can prove to be a fun day for the entire family.

Noida Entertainment City

While this is an hour away from The Estate, it is a great place to visit for an entire day. Home to some world class thrills and rides as well as a Water Park and a Worlds of Wonder children and adults alike are bound to have a great time here. For adults looking for some respite from all the excitement can take a break through some relaxing retail therapy at the Great India Place.


Once a week, in an attempt to make its citizens more environment friendly and connected to their community, wide open roads identified by local administrative authorities in Gurgaon, not too far from the BnB, are temporarily closed to cars so people can enjoy a host of activities like yoga, aerobics, zumba, skating, biking or running. You can enjoy this experience on Sundays between 7:00am and 12:00 noon.

Finally, for those hard pressed for time or looking to unwind within The Estate with their children, we offer a quaint little tree house that is located in our lush green lawns for your children to enjoy and run up and down in. We will also be installing a Play Station entertainment unit in the treat house and small private corner where kids can enjoy board games and spend an afternoon enjoying themselves.
